Our two year old LOVES green beans. And peas. Last week she asked for both pineapple and green beans and I told her she could only have one and held my breath... and she chose green beans.
Today, on a whim while at the grocery, I picked up lima beans (fracking lima beans for chrissakes!!) and gave them to her for lunch, and she snapped them up.
What's next, brussel sprouts?
I wish I could market this ability of hers - which naturally is a direct result of the wonderful job I have done parenting her. That's it - I'll write a children's book!
we had the one bite rule. they had to try a bite. plus I always named my recipes funny names such as
http://eatsnothingwitheyeballs.blogspot.com/2008/03/vampire-inhibitor-garlic-soup.html.
It was an interesting challenge since I am a vegan, daughter was a veggie, hubby is an omni and som wanted to live on fruity pebbles.

Ahhh, yes, I remember those days. Then one day your previously lima bean gobbling kiddo will declare that they don't like milk. Or raisins. Or goldfish. But to this day, he will still eat frozen peas (yes, still frozen). WTF?

Ooh, hey, I was going to write a comment, but I see Gary Fish up there posted and he seems to have an offer for a business loan, or is it the money due to me from a Nigerian prince? Maybe my offshore drilling license just came in.
But anyway - it sounds like you have a budding vegetarian on your hands. :) I find it hilarious when I feed the kids a plateful of carrots, broccoli, some cut corn, a few pieces of watermelon, and some shredded cheese. While pasta and wheat bread products (all breads are brown in our house, the kids think white bread is strange and icky) are still a large part of our diet, we have those fruit/veggie dinners often enough to balance it out. Our doctor still maintains that our kids eat better than anyone, adult or child, in his practice. Veggie power! :D
