The ultimate in laziness

I cleaned the inside of the car today, making heavy usage of the dustbuster to vacuum up the myriad cereals that somehow find their way into every crevice and surface near the kids' seats, I can't fathom how this happens.

The dustbuster happily sucked up raisins, raisin bran, cornflakes, rice chex and kix...

And then...

I was confronted with...

A graham cracker, whole.

What did I do?

Well, of course I picked it up and walked 10 paces and put it into the garbage.

Actually, no. What I did was bang on it with the dustbuster until it broke up into smaller pieces, and then vacuumed up the pieces.

I hope there's not a society against cruelty to graham crackers.

Amazing logic

Me, at bedtime: "And remember the rule: If you open your door for any reason, then we're taking away your leapster."

Jared: "And if I don't have a reason, will you still take it away?"

It even took me a second to figure out what he was saying.

And then forty minute later, his door opens and before I can put on my Huffy Voice and go up to take away the leapster, a little voice calls out: "Mommy, I don't want the leapster." I tell him to put it in the hallway, which he does, and then he goes back to his bed and falls asleep.

Unreal.
