Driving Jared & Audrey home from daycare this evening, we were talking to Jared about inane things as we always do.
Partway home, David says "Jared, in order to go home, we're going to first go over the bridge... go past Microsoft... and then we're home!"
David and I immediately look at each other and say "Bridge... Microsoft... HOME!" in this really dorky voice and collapse into giggles.
Jared, natch, picks up on this and starts repeating "Bridge... Microsoft... Home... <giggles>. Bridge... Microsoft... Home... <giggles>. Bridge... Microsoft... Home... <giggles>."... and so on and so forth you get the picture.
Have I mentioned that one of my least favorite parts of Dora the Explorer is the part where the map repeats the stupid triad eighteen stinkin' times?!? (And WHAT is with that voice?!?)
But when it's my l'il boy saying it, somehow it's hilarious, every single gigglin' time.
Don't. Do. It. To. Me. THAT SONG (and Voice). It will haunt me for the next 3 days! Ugh.
But yeah, somehow, when the kid sings it, it takes on a whole new FUN meaning.

OMG -- my daughter is so into this. Between the TV show and her books, everything turns into Dora (which is on right now, of course -- the Map Song no less!). So the other day she starts telling me a story that combined Miasy, Boohbah and Dora. The Boohbahs had to go to the grocery store (like Maisy in her book) and to do so, they had to "cross troll b'idge, go over waterfall and that's how we get to the library!" Yeah, they went grocery shopping at the library. So she put them in a Little People school bus and off they went, going "bridge, river, library!"
So it's not just my kid! Hee!
Oh and as to the Map's voice: same guy does Swiper, which I dislike even more.

Should have thought of this a second ago but I actually blogged when this happened. Changed my hyperlink to go to that post for this comment ;)
Shutting up now...
