I'm not afraid to brag. We have done a very good job of teaching Jared about the colors of the traffic lights and what they mean:
Red: Stop
Green: Go
Yellow: Punch it!
...just kidding. But man, we are soooo tempted to teach him to say "punch it!" every time we drive through a yellow light.
Well anything's gotta be better than "green means go, red means stop and yellow means be careful" (it's really best if you say this out loud in a singsongy chanting voice of a favored 4ish year old little sister).

And then there's my sweet little 3.5 year old back seat driver: "Slow down Mommy! It's a RED light!" and "Are we going FASTER, Mommy?", with little 18 month old sister repeating IT ALL!! My response? On a good day, "Now Rachel, Mommy is paying attention to all the lights. You don't need to help me drive." On a bad day? "Listen Girls! Don't tell me how to drive!!" Aren't kids great?
