I blame the triptophan. At any rate, we had a lovely thanksgiving punctuated by a normal amount of stress (i.e. people who didn't understand that I can't wait for everyone else to sit down before I start eating, because I'm going to have to get up with the little one in 10 minutes when he gets tired of sitting down). The little man behaved wonderfully and entertained the entire table by demonstrating his brilliance in using a fork and spoon to fork and spoon actual food, most of which made its way to his mouth.
And the best part? Someone else's house got destroyed, not ours. Plus they lived close enough that we just drove over and back, no real 'travel'.
Another perk this week: I discovered a hilarious new show on Comedy Central: Drawn Together. I haven't laughed that hard since I discovered Bill Hicks.
I'm on a never-ending quest to save my girlfriend!
